Welcome to Kew Gardens Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy and how can it help YOU?

Physiotherapy can help relieve your pain, allowing you to return to full function and do the things you want to do! Whether you've had an acute injury, through sport or an accident, or a longer term, chronic problem, such as postural back pain or neck pain, physio can help.

At Kew Gardens Physiotherapy we treat injury and disease by encouraging the body's own natural healing mechanisms to optimise recovery.

We are able to treat a great variety of problems including pain, inflammation and muscle spasm. Sports injuries, such as hamstring strains, tennis elbow, shin splints, cartilage damage, ligament sprains and respond well to physiotherapy.

Back and neck problems such as sciatica, lumbago, neck pain, headaches and whiplash are also helped. If you have been diagnosed with osteo-arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis or have other joint problems and pain, we can provide you with advice, exercises and treatments to reduce your pain. Orthopaedic problems such as fractures, joint replacements and poor biomechanics can also be helped.

How do I know who is treating me?

All our physiotherapists are fully qualified members of the Health Professions Council (MHPC)and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP). We are committed to the highest standards of quality care and postgraduate education as described by the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (PhysioFirst). .

What will happen in the assessment?

The physiotherapist will carry out a detailed assessment of your complaint, identify the problem and agree with you the treatment plan, including how much treatment is needed and how much improvement is expected.

What sort of treatment can I expect?

The specialist skills and treatment techniques we use can include postural correction, ergonomic advice, strengthening exercises, electrotherapy (including ultrasound), mobilisation and manipulation of joints, traction, massage, soft tissue release.
